What is Kambo?

Kambo is a purgative medicine derived from the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog, native to the Amazon rainforest. For centuries, indigenous tribes such as the Matsés and Katukina have used Kambo as a tool for physical cleansing, emotional release, and spiritual alignment.

The secretion contains a unique combination of peptides that interact powerfully with the body — triggering a deep purge that releases toxins, trauma held in the body, and stagnant energy. Many report feeling lighter, clearer, and more energized in the days that follow.

At Four Waters Healing, every Kambo ceremony is held in sacred space with full preparation, ceremony, and integration support.

What to Expect

You will arrive fasting, and we will open the ceremony with intention, prayer, and breathwork. Small points are made on the skin, and the Kambo is applied. The purge process follows — lasting 20–40 minutes — after which the medicine is removed and you are guided into rest and integration.

The experience can be intense, but you are never alone. Our facilitators hold the space with experience, compassion, and grounded presence throughout every moment.
