What is Ceremonial Cacao?

Ceremonial cacao is very different from the chocolate we find in stores. Made from 100% pure, minimally processed cacao beans, it retains its full spectrum of nutrients and active compounds — including theobromine, which gently opens the heart and elevates mood without the crash of caffeine.

For thousands of years, the Mayan and Aztec peoples revered cacao as a sacred medicine — the “food of the gods.” Used in ritual and ceremony, it was offered as a bridge between the human and the divine, a tool for opening the heart and deepening spiritual connection.

Our ceremonies honor this lineage with reverence and gratitude.

What Happens in a Ceremony?

We gather in circle, set a collective intention, and prepare the cacao together with prayer and song. After drinking, we move through guided meditation, ecstatic movement or gentle yoga, sharing, and stillness — allowing the medicine to work in its own way for each person.

The experience is gentle, warm, and deeply nourishing. Many describe feeling more open, loving, and connected — to themselves and to the people around them.
