What is Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga is one of the oldest and most powerful branches of yoga. Known as the “yoga of awareness,” it works directly with the nervous system and energetic body to awaken dormant energy at the base of the spine — the kundalini — and draw it upward through the chakras.

Unlike many modern yoga styles focused primarily on physical postures, Kundalini weaves together breathwork (pranayama), dynamic movement (kriyas), chanting, mantra, and deep meditation into a complete system for transformation.

Classes at Four Waters Healing are accessible, welcoming, and deeply intentional — whether you are stepping onto the mat for the first time or have practiced for years.

What You Will Experience

Each class begins with a tuning-in mantra to center the mind and open sacred space. We then move through a kriya — a specific sequence designed to work on a particular aspect of the body, mind, or spirit — followed by deep relaxation and a closing meditation.

No flexibility or prior yoga experience is required. The practice meets you exactly where you are.
